Welcome to the official Brawl Mystery Guide! Here you'll find everything you need to master the daily Brawl Stars quiz. From the basics of all 4 game modes to advanced strategies โ this guide has it all.
What is Brawl Mystery?
Brawl Mystery is a free, daily online quiz for all Brawl Stars fans. The concept is inspired by Wordle: every day there's a secret Brawler you need to guess. But instead of a simple word game, Brawl Mystery offers 4 different game modes with completely different mechanics.
The game tests your knowledge of Brawler attributes, images, emojis and character descriptions from the official Brawl Stars universe. New challenges every day โ perfect for your daily Brawl Stars fix alongside the actual game.
Classic Mode
Classic Mode is the heart of Brawl Mystery and the best starting point for new players. You enter Brawler names and get detailed feedback in a comparison table for each guess.
How the comparison table works
After each guess, these attributes are compared:
- Rarity: Starting, Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Mythic, Legendary, Ultra Legendary
- Role: Damage Dealer, Tank, Assassin, Support, Marksman, Controller, Artillery
- Range: Short, Medium, Long, Very Long
- Speed: Slow, Normal, Fast, Very Fast
- Health: Very Low, Low, Medium, High, Very High
- Release Year: The year the Brawler was added to the game
Green cells mean: Correct! Arrows indicate whether the target Brawler has higher or lower values. Each guess brings you closer to the answer.
๐ก Pro Tip: Start with Shelly (Starting), then Bull (Rare/Tank) or Mortis (Mythic/Assassin). These are far apart and help you quickly narrow the search space.
Optimal starting strategy
The key to Classic Mode success is a binary search strategy: start with Brawlers that narrow down multiple properties at once. Choose a mid-rarity Brawler (e.g. Epic), then move higher (Mythic/Legendary) or lower (Rare/Super Rare) based on the arrows.
You have 8 attempts. Use them efficiently and pay close attention to arrows. Common beginner mistakes: guessing the same value twice, or misreading arrows (โ means the target Brawler has HIGHER stats than your guess).
Pixel Mode
In Pixel Mode, you start with a heavily pixelated image of a Brawler. The image becomes slightly clearer with each wrong guess โ but only slightly! You have up to 8 attempts before the full image is revealed.
Tips for Pixel Mode
The most important skill in Pixel Mode is knowing the color schemes of Brawlers. Each Brawler has a distinctive color design:
- Golden/yellow tones: Often Brawlers like Tick, Brock, or Chester
- Blue tones: Commonly Spike, Gale, or Sandy
- Dark/purple tones: Think Mortis, Tara, or Leon
- Red/orange tones: El Primo, Amber, Ash
Also look for silhouettes and special features: Do they carry weapons? Special headgear? Hats, cylinders, or big eyes can help you identify them early.
๐ก Pro Tip: In Pixel Mode, try guessing with similar-colored Brawlers if you're unsure. The feedback still shows whether your guess was correct.
Emoji Mode
Three emojis describe a Brawler โ but you only see the first one at the start. With each wrong guess, another emoji is revealed. The game ends when you've seen all three or used 8 attempts.
How to interpret emojis correctly
Emojis in Brawl Mystery are thematically chosen and refer to:
- Weapons or attacks: ๐ซ (gun), ๐ฃ (bomb), โ๏ธ (pickaxe/mines)
- Personality: ๐ (evil), ๐ (friendly), ๐ก (aggressive)
- Profession or background: ๐ดโโ ๏ธ (pirate), ๐ป (ghost), ๐ต (cactus/nature)
- Visual appearance: ๐ฉ (hat), ๐ฆ
(bird), ๐น (flowers)
Tip: Learn emoji combinations for well-known Brawlers by heart. For example ๐๐ช๐ฅ = Bull โ a bull, muscular and explosive. Over time you'll recognize patterns and interpret unknown combinations better.
Description Mode
In Description Mode, you see the official character description of a Brawler โ but almost all words are hidden at the start. More words are revealed with each attempt.
Reading between the lines
The character descriptions in Brawl Mystery are the official descriptions from the Brawl Stars universe. They contain important clues:
- Job titles: "bartender", "botanist", "miner" โ direct references to Brawlers
- Locations: "mortuary", "gift shop", "junkyard"
- Other mentioned Brawlers: Family or friends are sometimes named (e.g. Jessie and Pam)
- Character traits: Keywords like "explosions", "invisible", "magic"
